Silcar has a systematic approach to quality that is an integral part of the Silcar Management System (SMS). Quality management for each part of Silcar's business is based on the step-wise 'quality' process illustrated by the cycle below.

The Client’s business context is ascertained and thoroughly understood. Overall objectives, required standards, measures and preferred approach to managing opportunities and risk are identified and agreed.
General objectives and the significant obstacles to success are assessed. Opportunities and risks are identified and characterised within the context of the Client’s business enterprise.
Business objectives are identified along with their measures and reasonable targets. Strategies to achieve the objectives are agreed.
Accountabilities for the Plan are assigned and the work processes specified and implemented. Ongoing work is performed accordingly.
Performance is monitored and corrective actions identified. We verify that activities proceed in accordance with the plan, and ensure that the agreed measures are being monitored.
The organisation’s performance is appraised to ensure that all activities are relevant within the Client’s context and are effective in achieving the overall objectives.
